Local devices and resources
Office printer
Cloud desktop
Once redirected, printing from Tally (Alt+P) sends the job across the session to your physical printer, just like printing locally.
Enable printer redirection before connecting
Printer redirection lets your local (office) printer appear inside the cloud session automatically.
- Open your Remote Desktop Connection app, click Show Options.
- Go to the Local Resources tab.
- Under "Local devices and resources", click More and make sure Printers is ticked.
- Connect to your Fix24 cloud desktop as usual.
Print from Tally
Once connected, your local printer will appear in the print dialog with a name like HP LaserJet (redirected 1). Select it from Tally's print screen (Alt + P) and print normally — the job is sent over the RDP session to your physical printer.
If your printer doesn't appear, ask your IT person to update the local printer driver, or contact Fix24 support for a driver-mapping fix.
